Broad Spectrum Biomechanics Research
Orthopaedic & Cardiovascular Biomechanics
In-depth scientific exchange on musculoskeletal dynamics, joint loading, and vascular biomechanics.
Mechanobiology & Experimental Methods
Understanding cellular mechanics, tissue engineering, and novel experimental testing protocols.
Computational Modeling & AI
In-silico simulation, machine learning, and personalized medicine in biomechanical applications.
Medical Devices & Rehabilitation
Innovations in prosthetics, orthotics, movement science, and clinical translational research.
This event will be the first full-day conference organized by the Belgian Alliance for Biomechanics (BAB) since its foundation.
The conference aims to provide a unique opportunity for the Belgian biomechanics community to gather for a full day of scientific exchange, bringing together researchers at all career stages, from PhD students to senior professors. The event will highlight the broad spectrum of biomechanics research conducted in Belgium, promoting networking, interactions, collaborations, and knowledge sharing among different disciplines.
The program will cover a wide range of topics, including orthopaedic biomechanics, cardiovascular biomechanics, mechanobiology, computational and experimental biomechanics, medical device development, rehabilitation, and emerging approaches such as artificial intelligence and personalized medicine.
By bringing together the different expertise within the Belgian biomechanics community, the BAB Conference 2026 aims to strengthen collaborations and promote the future development of biomechanics research in Belgium.
