Belgian Alliance for Biomechanics Conference 2026

This event will be the first full-day conference organized by the Belgian Alliance for Biomechanics (BAB) since its foundation.

The conference aims to provide a unique opportunity for the Belgian biomechanics community to gather for a full day of scientific exchange, bringing together researchers at all career stages, from PhD students to senior professors. The program covers orthopaedic, cardiovascular, mechanobiology, medical device development, and emerging AI approaches.

This event will be the first full-day conference organized by the Belgian Alliance for Biomechanics (BAB) since its foundation.

The conference aims to provide a unique opportunity for the Belgian biomechanics community to gather for a full day of scientific exchange, bringing together researchers at all career stages, from PhD students to senior professors. The event will highlight the broad spectrum of biomechanics research conducted in Belgium, promoting networking, interactions, collaborations, and knowledge sharing among different disciplines.

The program will cover a wide range of topics, including orthopaedic biomechanics, cardiovascular biomechanics, mechanobiology, computational and experimental biomechanics, medical device development, rehabilitation, and emerging approaches such as artificial intelligence and personalized medicine.

By bringing together the different expertise within the Belgian biomechanics community, the BAB Conference 2026 aims to strengthen collaborations and promote the future development of biomechanics research in Belgium.
