Learn how to publish new research papers, articles, and scientific contributions to the BAB platform using standard WordPress Posts and the Gutenberg block editor.
Publications on the Belgian Alliance for Biomechanics platform are managed directly via standard WordPress Posts (Posts → All Posts) and rendered automatically into the site-wide archives.
1. Accessing the Publications Overview
To view existing publications or add a new entry, navigate to Posts in the WordPress admin sidebar.
Here you will see all published papers, author listings, and publication dates. To create a new publication, click the Add Post button at the top of the screen.
2. Structuring Your Publication in Gutenberg
Once the Gutenberg editor opens, format your publication using the following standard guidelines:
Standard Content Fields
- Post Title: Enter the full author citation format (e.g.
Author A., Author B., et al.or the paper title). - Editor Body: Paste the abstract, DOI link, journal reference, and key findings directly into the block area.
- Featured Image (Right Sidebar): Upload a graphical abstract or relevant figure if available.
- Excerpt: Provide a 1-2 sentence summary to display cleanly in archive preview cards.
Use Save draft in the top-right toolbar while preparing your entry. Once reviewed, click Publish to immediately sync the paper with the public archive.
